5 Things I’ve Learned About Why Mood Matters in Business
Have you ever considered that you consciously choose your mood? Understanding that our thoughts become our reality, I’ve put these words at the forefront of my business to remind me that MOOD really does matter. A bad mood can destroy the energy of a company far quicker than a bad business decision. A good mood will create an unimaginable amount of positive energy that affects you and those around you in delightful ways. Using the signature Lifetherapy moods, below are five lessons that I’ve learned as a business owner:
Play – A business must look and feel alive at all times. I know my entire office thinks I am nuts, but I am constantly playing with a new idea. Moods can be magical. Good, playful, mood energy is magnetic and human beings crave connection between one another.
Escape - Make it a goal to get “lost” sometimes. It’s the only way to discover a new path. When the brain moves into deadlock, give yourself permission to take a different path. A pedicure works for me.
Chill – Relax, there is no instant way to win. Everything is a lesson within itself. Don’t focus on one outcome. A good journey takes time.
Flirt – Go ahead and “flirt” a little, a creative mind increases sales. Dare to take the chance. Make it interesting. Creativeness makes business exciting. Try sharpies.
Vacation - Aim beyond what you are capable of. If you want to go to Hawaii but think it’s out of your reach, figure it out! You can do anything if you put your mind into it. My goal is to take my team on vacation someday, and as long as the goal is there, it will happen.
Every day, we make a choice in how we will approach our day. If our thoughts are powerful, our mood is powerful, and powerful things will come.
